The purpose of this Tab is to simplify the process of creating a Portable Application version of
Circle Dock and copy all the required files into the correct folders on the removable media. Note
that simply copying the contents of your Circle Dock installation Folder may fail as certain
configuration data files may be missing!
Before creating a Portable Application version, ensure that:
· All Target Applications and Files (ie the Dock Items) exist on the portable media
· All Images used are stored in a sub-folder under Circle Dock's main installation folder. This
folder can be named anything you like (provided it is a legal Folder name).
Caveat: If the destination folder contains any files or sub-folders, they will be deleted and the
contents lost.
You do not need to set Portable Application in the running copy of Circle Dock for that state to
be enabled in the newly created copy. Simply enable the option on this Tab and it will set the
correct flag in the copy created.
You can also create a Zip file containing the portable application version. The Zip file is created
after all the files are correctly positioned and, as the files are zipped, the files are then deleted
(equivalent of "move to zip file").
